ABOUT US
Our Networks
Alaska Children’s Trust is well-suited to do our important work thanks to strong relationships with national organizations.
Relationships with nationwide organizations help us achieve our mission.
Thanks to the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance, Prevent Child Abuse America, and Annie E. Casey Foundation’s KIDS COUNT Network, Alaska Children’s Trust has the data, connections, and resources to work towards our mission of preventing child abuse and neglect.
National Alliance of Children’s Trusts & Prevention Funds
The National Alliance of Children’s Trust and Prevention Funds (Alliance) is a membership organization that provides training, technical assistance and peer consulting opportunities to state Children’s Trust and Prevention Funds and strengthens their efforts to prevent child abuse. The Alliance supports and strengthens state Children’s Trust and Prevention Funds in their vital roles, promotes awareness of the importance of strengthening families to prevent child abuse and neglect, advocates for increased public and private funding for community-based child abuse and neglect prevention activities and collaborates with other national child abuse prevention organizations to help ensure the safety and well-being of children throughout the country. Alaska Children’s Trust has been a member since 1999.

Prevent Child Abuse Alaska
Alaska Children's Trust is home to Prevent Child Abuse Alaska. Through this national partnership with Prevent Child Abuse America, we take advantage of national resources and relationships that allow us to learn and grow from best practices in other states.
Prevent Child Abuse America, founded in 1972 in Chicago, works to ensure the healthy development of children nationwide. The organization promotes that vision through a network of chapters in 50 states and over 500 Healthy Families America home visitation sites in 41 states, all the territories, Puerto Rico and Canada. A major organizational focus is to advocate for the existence of a national policy framework and strategy for children and families while promoting evidence-based practices that prevent abuse and neglect from ever occurring.

Kids Count Network
KIDS COUNT® is a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and a premier source of data on children and families. Each year, the Foundation produces a comprehensive report — the KIDS COUNT Data Book — that assesses child well-being in the United States. Alaska Children’s Trust is the Alaska partner of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and helps release expanded indicator data on children, youth, and families.
Afterschool Alliance
Our program, the Alaska Afterschool Network, is the Alaska chapter of the Afterschool Alliance. The Alliance works to ensure that all youth have access to affordable, quality afterschool programs by engaging public will to increase public and private investment in afterschool program initiatives at the national, state, and local levels.
